Terms of Service

By using ContractorsCorner, creating an account, submitting a listing, claiming a business or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

ContractorsCorner is a local home improvement discovery and project-planning platform serving Grimsby, Lincoln, West Niagara and surrounding communities. It is operated by Morielli Media Group Inc. ("we", "us", "our").

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. ContractorsCorner is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure, for activity under your account, and for keeping your account information accurate.

Homeowners may browse contractor listings, view project photos, use the Project Planner and sign up for optional updates. Using the platform does not create any contract between you and ContractorsCorner for home improvement work. Any agreement for work is made directly between you and the contractor.

Contractors may submit a Free or Premium listing. All listings are reviewed before they are published, and we may decline, edit for formatting, pause or remove a listing that does not meet these Terms or the platform's standards.

If a listing exists for your business, you may submit a claim. Claims are reviewed manually and may be approved or declined. Submitting a claim does not give you editing access, and you must be authorized to act for the business. Providing false information in a claim may lead to the claim being declined and your account being suspended.

Contractors may submit information and media including:

• business descriptions, logos and social links
• photographs and videos
• project descriptions and project information
• other business information

Profile changes and project submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly. We may review, reject, remove or request changes to any submitted content.

Project content should show real work completed by the contractor's business, and descriptions should be truthful. Do not submit photos or videos of work that is not yours, or images that show identifiable people or private property without permission.

Contractors are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide, including services, service areas, contact details and any claims about licensing, insurance or experience. We do not verify every statement made in a listing.

ContractorsCorner is a discovery and information platform. ContractorsCorner does not:

• guarantee the quality of a contractor's work
• guarantee pricing
• guarantee availability
• guarantee licensing or insurance unless specifically stated and verified
• guarantee project outcomes
• guarantee that a contractor is suitable for a particular project
• act as a contractor, construction manager, engineer, architect, inspector or legal adviser

Appearing on ContractorsCorner is not an endorsement or recommendation. We do not rank contractors or describe any contractor as the "best." Featured Service Partner placement is paid promotional visibility. It is not an editorial ranking, an endorsement, or a statement that the contractor is the best choice.

Homeowners are responsible for their own due diligence, including confirming qualifications, insurance, permits, pricing, written contracts, references and any other matters directly with the contractor and the appropriate authorities before hiring.

The Project Planner provides general planning information only, based on predefined templates. Planning ranges and timeframes are general estimates. It does not constitute:

• construction, engineering or architectural advice
• legal or financial advice
• permit approval
• professional inspection

Confirm your project requirements with qualified professionals and your municipality or applicable authority.

Guides, FAQs and other information on ContractorsCorner are provided for general information. Every home and project is different, and information may not apply to your situation or may become out of date.

Building codes, permit requirements, bylaws and regulations vary by municipality and change over time. You are responsible for confirming what applies to your project with your municipality and qualified professionals.

Premium Listing is a paid monthly subscription, currently $49 CAD/month plus applicable taxes. Premium includes the features currently advertised on ContractorsCorner, which may be updated from time to time.

Premium includes the ability to add your own customer-supplied introduction video. Professional video production is not included.

We do not promise any specific traffic, leads, inquiries, sales or business results.

Featured Service Partner is a paid monthly subscription, currently $199 CAD/month plus applicable taxes.

• Featured includes Premium Listing.
• It provides exclusive paid placement on one selected service category, subject to availability and the platform's rules.
• Only one Featured Service Partner position is available per service category.
• Featured placement is paid promotional visibility and does not represent an endorsement, ranking or guarantee of contractor quality.
• Contractors may supply their own approved video or project photo.
• Professional photography or video production by Morielli Media Group Inc. is a separate service and is not included in the $199/month subscription.

We do not promise any specific traffic, leads, inquiries or business results.

We may, at our discretion, grant Complimentary Premium or Complimentary Featured status (for example, to launch partners or for promotional arrangements). Complimentary status has no cash value, is not transferable, and may be changed or ended by us. It does not create a paid subscription.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel.

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and do not include taxes. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing address and shown before you pay.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. We will give reasonable notice before changing the price of an existing subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing management option in your contractor account. Cancellation timing follows the subscription terms shown at checkout and in billing management.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically result in a refund. Any refund or credit follows the subscription terms displayed at checkout and any applicable refund policy we publish. For billing questions, contact us using the details below.

Submitted content must not be:

• misleading, false or deceptive
• defamatory
• infringing on anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights
• unlawful, offensive or otherwise inappropriate

You must have all rights and permissions needed to submit your content, including from photographers, videographers and any identifiable people shown.

Professional photography and video production is a separate service provided by Morielli Media Group Inc. It may have its own pricing, scope, production terms, deliverables and usage or licensing terms, agreed separately. It is not part of the Premium or Featured subscriptions.

ContractorsCorner's branding, logo, website design, original written content, graphics, software and platform features are owned by or licensed to Morielli Media Group Inc. unless otherwise stated. Contractor-owned content remains owned by the contractor or the applicable rights holder.

We do not claim ownership of contractor-submitted content. By submitting content, you give Morielli Media Group Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, format and promote approved content on ContractorsCorner and in promotion of ContractorsCorner, for as long as it is published on the platform and for a reasonable period afterward to remove it from active materials.

You agree not to:

• impersonate a business or person, or claim a business you are not authorized to represent
• submit false, misleading or infringing content
• copy or scrape listings or contact details in bulk
• use contractor contact details to send spam
• attempt to access accounts, data or admin areas that are not yours
• interfere with the security or operation of the platform

We may suspend or remove an account, listing or content that breaks these Terms or puts users or the platform at risk. You may stop using ContractorsCorner at any time and may ask us to close your account.

ContractorsCorner may link to contractor websites, social media and other third-party services, including Stripe for payments. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services, which have their own terms and privacy practices.

To the extent permitted by law, ContractorsCorner and Morielli Media Group Inc. are not liable for any work performed or not performed by a contractor, or for any loss arising from your dealings with a contractor or your reliance on information on the platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

You agree to indemnify Morielli Media Group Inc. against claims, losses and expenses arising from content you submit, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information.

We may update these Terms as the platform changes. The "Last Updated" date shows the most recent version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
