Privacy Policy

ContractorsCorner is operated by Morielli Media Group Inc. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:

• your name and email address
• your community
• account information, if you create an account
• contact or inquiry information you send us

Project Planner progress is saved in your own browser on your device. It is not sent to us and does not require an account.

• name, business name, business email, phone and website
• services, specialties and communities or service areas
• business descriptions, logos, photographs, videos and project information
• social media links
• account information
• Claim Your Business information, including your relationship to the business
• subscription and billing-related information, such as plan and subscription status

• creating and managing accounts
• processing contractor claims
• maintaining contractor listings and displaying approved contractor information
• providing Project Planner functionality
• processing subscriptions
• customer support
• security and fraud prevention
• administering the platform
• communicating with you about your account or services
• sending optional marketing communications, only where you have consented
• improving the platform

Account and transactional messages relate to things you've asked us to do, such as sign-in emails, claim updates, listing reviews and billing notices.

Marketing messages, such as tips and updates, are optional. Creating an account, claiming a business or submitting a listing is not consent to marketing. Marketing consent is a separate checkbox that is unchecked by default, and we record the date you gave it.

You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in a message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not delete your account or listing.

We use service providers needed to operate the platform:

• Stripe, for payment processing and subscription billing
• hosting, database and file storage infrastructure
• authentication (sign-in) services
• email services for account-related messages

These providers only receive the information needed to perform their service.

Payments and subscription billing are processed by Stripe. ContractorsCorner does not store full payment card information. Your payment information is handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy practices. We keep records such as your plan, subscription status and renewal dates.

ContractorsCorner currently uses Google Fonts to load the Inter typeface used throughout the website. When the font is requested, a visitor's browser may connect directly to Google and Google may receive technical information associated with that request, such as the visitor's IP address. ContractorsCorner does not use Google Fonts for advertising or behavioural tracking.

For contractors, only approved listing information (such as business name, services, communities, description, approved photos and videos, and business contact details) is shown publicly. Claim details, private submissions and billing information are not shown publicly.

ContractorsCorner uses only essential browser storage: keeping you signed in, and saving your Project Planner progress on your device. We do not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics tools. Stripe's checkout may use its own cookies to process payments securely.

You can contact us to:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you
• request correction of inaccurate information
• ask questions about our privacy practices
• withdraw consent where applicable, such as for marketing
• submit a privacy-related complaint

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls that keep private submissions and billing records restricted. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, legal and accounting requirements, dispute resolution, security and legitimate business needs.

ContractorsCorner is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The "Last Updated" date shows the most recent version. See also our Terms of Service.
